RESTORATION

As well as having our collection of flutes and drums, we sometimes are called upon to restore flutes and drums for other marching bands and museums.
Below is a selection of musical instruments which we've restored.

Rope Tension Bass Drum
Pride of Clarkston Flute Band
 Airdrie, Scotland
Originally belonging to a Brass Band in Scotland, the drum was sent to us by bus by David Quinn.
The drum was completely overhauled and is still been played.

Rope Tension Side Drum
Coleraine Fife and Drum Band
Coleraine, Co. Londonderry
This drum was completely overhauled and is now used in band concerts

Rope Tension Bass Drum
Sons of William L.O.L. No. 386
Sion Mills, Co. Tyrone
Again completely overhauled with new skins and repainted. Now on show in Sion Mills Orange Hall.

Rod Tension Side Drum
Trench Memorial Flute Band
Limavady, Co. Londonderry
We repainted the wooden hoops. In total 6 drums came in for a repaint job. Drum are still being used today.

Rod Tension Side Drum
4th (Co. Fermanagh) Battalion Ulster Defence Regiment
We touched up the paint.  This drum is now on display at The Inniskillings Museum in Enniskillen Castle

Rope Tension Side Drum
1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers
This drum came to us as a brass shell drum with no painting, we where given permission to paint the battle honours of the
1st Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.  This drum is now on display in The Inniskillings Museum in Enniskillen Castle.

Rod Tension Side Drum Shell
7th Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment
This drum shell was donated to the Fife and Drum Museum in 2006.
Its an original Royal Irish Regiment Drum Shell, but the battle honours have been damaged and will take much time to restore.

From this.......                                                                   to this.............                                                    to fully restored.
Rod Tension Side Drum Shell
Stumpyhill Flute Band
Co. Fermanagh
This drum came into us looking a mess. It hadn't been used for a least 50 years and had been stored in a farm shed.
We weren't sure if we could save the painting but thanks for a artist it was retored,
everything else was replaced and finally the drum was put back and looks excellent.
