Ballywillan Flute Band was founded in 1884 by men from Portrush, Co. Antrim and surrounding areas. Initially a 1st flute band, part music was introduced after the War years. The band has strong links with the Loyal organisations at Ballywillan and hold their weekly practice in Ballywillan Orange Hall perched high on the hill overlooking Portrush and the Atlantic Ocean.
During the summer months the distinctive blue uniforms of Ballywillan are a familiar sight along the Causeway Coast.
